Create Your Blog for English 1A
- Step one: Create a Gmail account. You must have one to use Blogger
- Step two: Go to https://www.blogger.com/tour_start.g
- Step three: Take the tour and see if it answers your questions about what a blog is and how to design one.
- Step four: Create your blog
- Give your blog a name but name it wisely because you will tell us why you chose that name in class
- Create an ambience. Style your blog to reflect things about you. You can add photos, music, etc. to your blog. If you can’t figure out how to do it on the actual page by our next class, place your design ideas in your first blog post and we will figure out how to make your vision a reality. If you are having a hard time, please look at the blogger tutorials.
- Step five: After you have finished designing your blog space, write your first post. I highly recommend writing your posts in a Word Document and copying it into Blogger. Answer the following in your first post:
- How does the blog space reflect you?
- What is most important to you? What are you passionate about?
- Why are you in school?
- What do you hope to get out of this class?
- How do you see what you value most helping you with your college career?
- *Add pictures and hyperlinks to your post where it seems appropriate
- Step Six: Print out your blog post and be prepare to discuss it on Thursday, August 22, 2013.
- Step Seven: Send the URL to mwilliamschabotcollege@gmail.com . In the subject line put “Blog Address.” Include your name, and the time of your class in the email.
